Coupling Saturation-Based Provers by Exchanging Positive/Negative Information

چکیده

We examine diierent possibilities of coupling saturation-based theorem pro-vers by exchanging positive/negative information. We discuss which positive or negative information is well-suited for cooperative theorem proving and show in an abstract way how this information can be used. Based on this study, we introduce a basic model for cooperative theorem proving. We present theoretical results regarding the exchange of positive/negative information as well as practical methods and heuristics that allow for a gain of eeciency in comparison with sequential provers. Finally, we report on experimental studies conducted in the areas condensed detachment, unfailing completion, and superposition.

Knowledge-based Cooperation between Theorem Provers by Techs

We present a methodology for coupling several saturation-based theorem provers (running on diierent computers). The methodology is well-suited for realizing cooperation between diierent incarnations of one basic prover. Moreover, also diierent heterogeneous provers {that diier from each other in the calculus and in the heuristic they employ{ can be coupled. Cooperation between the different pro...

Detection of Glycosaminoglycans using Positive CEST approach

Introduction CEST contrast employs Chemical Exchange Saturation Transfer to generate contrast in MRI images. It is based on the selective presaturation of the small pool of exchanging protons and can be switched "on" and "off" using suitable RF irradiation (1). Recently, CEST was applied to detect glycosaminoclycans (GAGs) in articular cartilage and intervertebral disc. This method was called g...

Alignment-based Translations Across Formal Systems Using Interface Theories

Translating expressions between different logics and theorem provers is notoriously and often prohibitively difficult, due to the large differences between the logical foundations, the implementations of the systems, and the structure of the respective libraries. Practical solutions for exchanging theorems across theorem provers have remained both weak and brittle. Consequently, libraries are n...

Multi-prover Commitments Against Non-signaling Attacks

We reconsider the concept of two-prover (and more generally: multi-prover) commitments, as introduced in the late eighties in the seminal work by Ben-Or et al. As was recently shown by Crépeau et al., the security of known two-prover commitment schemes not only relies on the explicit assumption that the two provers cannot communicate, but also depends on what their information processing capabi...

WLAN Substrate Integrated Waveguide Filter with Novel Negative Coupling Structure

A fourth-degree Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) crossed coupled band pass filter for WLAN band is designed by using a new negative coupling structure. It consists of two U shape microstrip lines on top and bottom planes with via holes at the center of them. This paper investigates the phase characteristics of negative and positive coupling structures and their effects. The design, fabricat...
